Legacy and Excellence at BSF Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar Cantt

BSF Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar Cantt, holds the proud privilege of being the pioneer educational institution among the community of BSF Schools. It was established in 1967 in the PAP Lines, Jalandhar, by the founder Director General of BSF, Sh. K.F. Rustam Ji.

It shifted to its current location on the BSF Campus in 1977 and was inaugurated by the former Home Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh.

The school boasts excellent infrastructure and provides a healthy and congenial environment, as well as a sound educational base to groom students into forthright, conscientious, and dynamic policymakers of the future.

Enriching Educational Environment at Our School

The school is equipped with well-equipped and updated computer, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and geography labs to keep the children abreast of the latest developments. Moreover, the library is well-stocked with books on myriad subjects to enrich and enlighten the students. Additionally, a host of co-curricular activities is organized to tap into the innate potential of each child. Furthermore, we strive to bring out the aesthetic and creative instincts of the children by providing art, music, and carpentry classes. Lastly, school activities and examinations are conducted strictly in accordance with the school calendar.

Nurturing Environmental Awareness and Civic Responsibility at Our School

To sensitize children towards the environment, we operate both an Eco-Friendly Club and a USO Club, both dedicated to raising awareness about threats to the earth. In our democratic setup, the Student Council sees prefects taking an oath to fulfill their duties without bias during the investiture ceremony. Additionally, our NSS members contribute by organizing camps to promote cleanliness and ecological balance. Activities like planting saplings and maintaining cleanliness are integral parts of our curriculum. Our commitment to bringing glory to the institution is encapsulated in the phrase: “Seek to perform your duty, but lay no claim to its fruit.”
